RUNAR HELGELAND IS THE BEST YOUNG ARCTIC CHEF

After an incredibly thrilling final in Reykjavík, Runar Helgeland was crowned the champion of Arctic Young Chef 2024

Runar impressed the jury with his outstanding ability to create innovative, flavorful, and visually pleasing dishes using local ingredients from The Faroe Islands, Norway, Greenland, and Iceland.

The judges said that Runar “showed overall high level technique, innovation, flavour and presentation. The dishes were adaptable to the theme in the competition ‘food for many’. The starter and the dessert could easily be scaled up to be used in school cantinas.”

Incredibly well done to all of the finalists, the level of culinary skill was high, and there was no doubt about the fierce competition between our four chefs!
